Meet Our Doctors

Dr. Howard Friedman

Dr. Howard Friedman has been practicing Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine since 1989. He is a graduate of SUNY-Downstate Medical School and completed his pediatric training at Brookdale Hospital in Brooklyn, NY, where he served as Chief Resident.
He subsequently completed an Asthma and Allergy fellowship at Columbia Presbyterian Babies Hospital in New York City. This duality allows him to combine his expertise in allergy and asthma in the care of his pediatric patients.
Dr. Friedman is board certified in pediatrics and adolescent medicine and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is married with four children.
Dr. Friedman has been named by New Jersey Family as one of NJ's favorite Kids Docs.

Dr. Christopher Weiss

Dr. Christopher Weiss joined Washington Avenue Pediatrics in 2001. He was born and raised in Miami, FL and went to medical school there at Nova Southeastern University, where he graduated cum laude.

Dr. Weiss completed an internship at Ohio University/Doctor’s Hospital in Columbus, OH, where he was selected Pediatric Intern of the Year. He then completed his pediatric residency at the Albert Einstein-Long Island Jewish/Schneider Children’s Hospital in New Hyde Park, NY. After residency, he was selected and served a year as Chief Resident of Schneider Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Weiss is board certified in pediatrics and adolescent medicine and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is married with two children. Dr. Weiss has been named multiple times by NJ Family magazine as one of NJ's favorite Kid Docs and has been named by US News and World Report and Castle Connolly as one of America's Top Doctors. Dr. Weiss was named to New York Magazines Best Doctor list for 2016 and 2017.

Dr. Maggie Love

Dr. Maggie Love joined our practice in 2017. She is a graduate from Temple University Medical School and did her residencey at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. She has been in practice in New Jersey since 2010. Dr. Love is board certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics. She lives in Teaneck with her husband and 3 children.

Dr. Shana Kaye

Shana Kaye joined the practice in 2016. She attended medical school at New York Medical College and went on to complete her residency at Childrens Hospital at Montefiore where she graduated wtih honors. Shana has worked in both the community setting and academic setting where she supervised residents. 
Shana is board certified in Pediatrics and lives in Teaneck with her husband and two children.
